Your professional advice and recommendation has helped me choose the right appliances for my new kitchen.  I'm most happy with the goods we've purchased from e&s.  In particular, the Franke 3-burner cooktop and the Qasair rangehood work really well for our Chinese cooking.  The Miele dishwasher, the Siemens washing machine are also with high performance.
 
No doubt I'll come back to your again if I need any kitchen or bathroom appliances again.
 
One last question, is the e&s receipt good enough for warranty purposes (except the Miele dishwasher)? Or do I need to register for the warranty with each manufacturer please?

"I am impressed. We recently purchased a Bosch Washing Machine from your Clearance Centre in Noble Park.

 

I installed the machine and had ongoing problems with the spin cycle. I rang the store seeking assistance and we had a service man was at our door within two hours.

He identified the problem within two minutes (my basic error in installing it). He rectified the problem and was on his way within ten minutes.

Thank you to all concerned and we are now a committed E and S fan and will not hesitate to speak on your behalf to our friends. In addition, the Clearance Centre is a great concept.

"Dear Frank,

This is long overdue email.  Adrian and I would like to thank all the E&S staff for their support whilst we purchased a washing machine. 

We bought a Fisher and Paykel - Fabric Smart machine.  Unfortunately, it pulled many threads in our fabrics.  Consequently, we returned to E&S to purchase a replacement.  We had no intention of returning the Fisher and Paykel, and we looked for alternative ways to move it on. 


However, when we came to your Chadstone store,  we found such a helpful and supportive staff ... staff at head office - Customer Service - 'Rachel', the sales person at your Chadstone store 'Janet McLellan' and finally staff at Moorabbin (We had to go there to see the replacement as there wasn't one on the floor at Chadstone).  To our surprise, Rachel and Janet organized a replacement  the removal of the Fisher and Paykel machine.  We finally chose a Speed Queen, which we absolutely love.

 

We cannot express enough our sincere gratitude for the assistance and professional manner in which everything was conducted. 

We have recommended E&S to many of our friends, not only because of our experience, but because of the selection and quality of your products.

I believe the company advised Alex of the outcome and that could have been the end of it.

I wish to express my appreciation of the performance of your E&S team during the process of completing the above orders.   Firstly the negotiation on pricing with Vivienne Zhou was undertaken in a thorough and professional way with no high pressure selling techniques.
 
Secondly your warehouse team were understanding of the difficulty in obtaining installers over the Christmas holiday period and held the items to a convenient time.  When that timing arrived the items were delivered exactly at the time specified.
 
Regrettably and through no fault of E&S, when the oven was unpacked for installation the glass inner and outer panels were shattered.   The response from Nicole and Stephanie at your warehouse to return the damaged oven and replace it within two days was just brilliant.   The commitment by Stephanie to reimburse the cost of a second visit by the installers was greatly appreciated.  This offer was made without me raising the question.
 
Plus a mention to your delivery team, they were always on time, took great care in ensuring no damage to paint work etc. to deposit the items in a confined area.
 
Therefore a big thank you to all the E&S team involved in the execution of the orders."

"Customer Service,

We wanted to provide you with feed back from our recent experience of contacting E&S Trading regarding a problem we were experiencing with our Westinghouse refrigerator that we purchased from your Blackburn store in January 2016.  Our Customer Order number at the time of purchase was C7116955.

During the month of July the humidity levels in the crisper of our Westinghouse refrigerator (bottom mount) were at extreme levels.  Helen rang and spoke to Christopher Bannard, the Sales Consultant at your Blackburn store from whom we purchased the refrigerator and he kindly arranged for a service call from Electrolux.

The Electrolux service man came yesterday and after looking at the refrigerator he believed that there was cold air escaping at the bottom of the refrigerator section around the inlet duct which comes up from the freezer section.  As a solution the vent section of the refrigerator was removed to gain access to the inlet duct and he then applied a special tape around the inlet duct before reinstalling the vertical vent section over the inlet duct.  The service man believed that the cooler air that was escaping was causing the temperature in the crisper to be much colder than the rest of the refrigerator section and that this condition was resulting in excess moisture in the crisper.  We are hopeful that the fix will eliminate the excess moisture issues that we were experiencing.

We are extremely grateful to Christopher Bannard and the E&S team for their prompt and professional assistance in arranging for the Electrolux service call."

I felt I had to write to let you know how impressed my husband and I are with your after purchase backup.  We renovated out kitchen last year and purchased everything from your Blackburn store.  Nancy was wonderful but sadly has retired.  One of the many items we purchased was a mixer tap for our sink and we had no experience with mixer taps at that stage.  The plumber mentioned that it was noisy but may settle down.  I found it irritating and often swore at it as I couldn’t hear the radio when I was running water but we thought that was how it should sound and just put up with it.

We are now renovating our laundry and visited your Blackburn showroom last week to purchase Miele and Franke products and we were helped by Irene.  In conversation we mentioned to her about the noisy tap and she said it shouldn’t sound like that I will organise a service for you.  I was amazed when we received in the mail a few days later your ‘We’re Sorry ‘ letter setting out the steps that we should expect, to have the problem fixed.  Today we were contacted by a very professional and pleasant man who came and fixed the tap.  I am so, so happy as all I hear now is the sound of running water and not a singing tap that  could have made it to the top 40 on the hit parade if there is still such a thing!!

Thank you for the wonderful service and back up.  I am glad that we have purchased our products from you and as we need to replace anything else your store will continue to be our first stop.  I might add that in the early 1970’s we purchased our very first washing machine from your original store and it is good to know that we can still deal with professional staff and a company that takes pride in its reputation.

"I would like to give praise to Heather and Tim from your Essendon DFO store.

I walked into your store a few weeks ago searching for a new dishwasher, and to be perfectly honest I felt like I could never afford your products due to the outstanding presentation of your store compared to your competitors. I was about to turn and walk out when Heather came up to me and introduced herself. I thought oh well may as well be polite and explain what I'm wanting then I will politely make my exit. 

Well I was absolutely blown away not only was Heather absolutely lovely but she blew your competitors out of the water on price. I purchased there and then.

A week later I was back hunting Heather down lol, as my washing machine decided to die on me. 

Again Heather left me reeling in shock with what she offered. So now that I'm an E&S convert lol I returned last week again. Heather was busy with another customer but she took the time to find another salesman Tim to serve me. 

I ended up purchasing a new dryer, cooktop, and oven and also bought my mother a new dryer and dishwasher and am heading back again for a new rangehood.

I don't even bother to shop around now I just head straight to E&S as your staff have built a trusting relationship with me and I honestly believe they are there for the customer and genuinely love their job which is also a credit to the business owners. 

Finally I just want to say I have recommended E&S to everyone who will listen and after 25 years in the retail industry including management positions, Heather and Tim displayed exceptional customer service and both went over and above my expectations they are a real credit to your company and deserve to be recognised for this.

On behalf of my wife and I just wanted to write in and express our gratitude to E&S Trading Blackburn and in particular JaydenHughes.

We began our shopping very late December for appliances for a complete Kitchen renovation. We were a little unsure of what to get, sought a lot of advise and did a lot of research. Jayden really helped us out and provided excellent knowledge and straight advise to help us make the correct decisions in purchasing.

Jayden’s knowledge of Kitchen renovation in particular came in very handy in choosing correctly also, he was extremely thorough and went above and beyond customer expectations.

By January we were placing an order with Jayden for a range of Smeg, Asko, Frankie and Fisher & Paykel appliance’s. Jaydenwas so prompt in following up and even advised which days he was in the office to make certain, we, as customer were taken care of for the 7 day week. He followed up with calls and emails throughout. For a first time Kitchen renovator and a very large purchase, Jayden certainly helped us in feeling comfortable. We also felt as though we were getting premium appliances/products at a great value price.

Delivery time exceeded our expectations and all deliveries were ready within days of the order, when in fact the Kitchen crew weren’t set to arrive for a month.

Even upon the time of install, a small issue was found with the oven. I called Jayden and he organised the Smeg tech to visit within 2 days (even before the kitchen was finished being installed).

I did purchase one item at a major competing retailer due to the design and availability of the stocked item and was severely burnt. The item never was ordered, never arrived, never communicated back to the customer and ended up that the rep delivered the item personally after our kitchen was installed. This was a terrible customer experience and they will not be getting any form of positive feedback. But I did learn a hard lesson and it really displays exactly how great the service is at E&S Trading, and in particular from a star team member like Jayden Hughes.

I will certainly be advocating for E&S trading and will always return as a customer when I need Kitchen, Bathroom or Laundry product. Thank you E&S Trading and a huge thank you to Jayden Hughes at Blackburn."

'Hi Michael,

Over the years I have purchased quite a few items from E & S and have always had great service, especially from Robert Cook in Sales. But I wanted to particularly note the great help I have recently received from Rachel in Customer service, who has supervised the assistance from Andi-Co regarding my Lieber fridge. 

I'd have to say it hasn't seemed like a Wednesday model (I hope you know the saying about the differences between the Monday and Friday and Wednesday models!) but everyone at E&S has gone out of their way to get the fridge in much better working order, and I think we have finally got it under some control. 

The experience with Andi-Co and discussions with Rachel have also meant that I may have been able to suggest a couple of ways of educating customers to enable them to manage this type of refrigerator better. The relevant information is actually not available in the brochures but is actually essential to know if the refrigerator is to work at its optimum.

Rachel has shown great concern and initiative and went to bat for me with Andi-Co who were very responsive and also showed great customer care, even getting two of their personnel down to Point Lonsdale on separate occasions to make sure the frig was in better working order.

So thank you to Rachel and to the Sinclairs who run a great company. I  really appreciate the way E & S cares for its customers.'

I'm writing to congratulate you on your impeccable taste in staff. I'm currently renovating my kitchen, which as I'm sure you're aware is a very stressful thing to do. I bet you're super rich and get to renovate kitchens all the time. I went into the project believing I'd be as cool and calm as Shaynna Blaze. How wrong I was.

Before long I'd turned into one of those people who stares at an oven pretending to understand the functions, whilst secretly worrying that the wrong choice of oven may lead to a life of misery. I have to remind myself that my oven is mostly used to cook cheese on toast and my dishwasher is used as storage, it hasn't been turned on for the last 10 years...

I digress, so by the time I stumbled into your Collingwood store, the one near the Children's farm, I was a mess. I'd spent weeks in your competitors stores speaking to salespeople who were all very nice but also very salesy.

When I walked into your store I met Gordon, he has glasses and a great laugh. He reminded me of my dad, although my dad is much taller. He was the best salesman and the least salesy of all the people I'd dealt with. He was honest, knew about all the brands and listened to me when I told him I mainly need an oven that would look nice and make a mean cheese on toast. I know his job is to sell stuff but it felt like he really wanted to help me make the best choices for my situation. I don't know if this is some clever sales technique that you teach all of your staff or whether it's just Gordon but in the end it was the reason I decided to shop with you.

So basically I just wanted to say thanks. I think you should give Gordon the keys to one of your stores..or at least a new oven or a dishwasher which he can use as storage...

"Hello Paul, 

I would like to acknowledge great customer service we received from Tim Allen and Peter from stainless steel concepts. Tim in the first instance was able to deliver our goods on time and advise us accordingly in the product. We informed Tim that we could have a problem with our installed Siemens range hood regarding the flue he immediately presented us with the brochure of Stainless Steel Concepts.

Now the kitchen is being renovated the problem was evident that we needed further extension to the stainless steel flue. When I rang Siemens they were unable to tell me what length the extension was as none were in stock and they would have to order from Germany. The cost $285 plus  delivery and of course that did not include installation. Panic mode set in and I then rang Peter from Stainless yesterday afternoon. He was here 1 hour later and this morning has installed a full stainless steel flue and repaired an area within the flue. The costs were fair and reasonable and under what the costs would have been if we purchased from Siemens with installation.

I cannot recommend Peter highly enough to have a “tradesman” virtually on call to remedy a very stressful situation is the highest recommendation we can give.

For the past year or more, we have been dealing with your Company – and in particular, Faheem Nasser at Blackburn. 

We began meeting with Faheem before our major renovation project commenced in February this year. We purchased all tapware, bath, bathroom accessories, toilets, vanities, kitchen appliances, refrigerator, rangehood, sink, insinkerator, washing machine, dryer, etc. etc. from E&S Trading, and along the way, Faheem diligently followed up every enquiry.

Every item was delivered when promised, always with pleasant and helpful delivery men.

We recently discovered that one of the toilet seats and covers was not closing as ‘softly’ as the others – the soft-close mechanism wasn’t working properly and after 2 weeks it stopped altogether. I rang Faheem who quickly was in touch with the supplier (Kohler). A gentleman from Kohler rang me the next day, and promptly delivered a brand new seat/cover to us.

Throughout our project we have encountered a number of courteous and helpful tradesmen, and some not quite as helpful or courteous. This has highlighted to us the excellent service provided by E&S Trading, and renewed our appreciation for the people employed by your company, and the manner in which you operate.

The two delivery men, particularly Braiden (?) made valiant attempt to remove our sixteen year old dishwasher (and install the new one) which absolutely refused to budge and had to be totally dismantled. They reluctanly gave up beause they had commitments to other customers.

I realised at that point how hard it was to find sales people that were knowledgable and not pushy. So I wasn’t too keen on going out there again to research new products for our second kitchen.

"Last week I needed to have a Smeg refrigerator exchanged due to an issue I had fitting the it into the cavity space available. I ordered a replacement Westinghouse on Sunday and then went back into the showroom on Monday and asked for this to be changed to an Electrolux 510L French Door. Dermott at the Chadstone showroom was extremely helpful and assisted in the exchange.

Chris & Ben arrived on Tuesday afternoon to deliver the new fridge and pick up the one being returned. Unfortunately the order hadn't gone through to the warehouse on time and they had the Westinghouse on board. Chris was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to assist me (even though I said it really was my fault for changing my mind 3 times!). They took the Smeg fridge away and said they would follow up on when the new one would be delivered.

An hour later I received a call from Chris to say they had the fridge on board the truck and they would have it delivered in 30 minutes. I was quite gobsmacked as I was expecting to wait several days for the next delivery. Chris & Ben moved my old fridge out of the way and installed the new one (which looks fantastic).

I was so impressed by these two young gentleman - their desire to keep the customer happy and leave a lasting impression was something I rarely see these days. I have been a long term customer of E&S - and this is the reason why - always putting the customer first. To Chris & Ben - great work - your employer should be very proud to have employees like you."

Beginning last June’14 I have had dealings with one of your staff, Mr James Barker. I finally arranged for receipt of the order in October/November 2014.

My purpose in making contact is to offer plaudits to James and raise your awareness of his unique set of customer service skills. I do not make such positive comments lightly – as a consulting psychologist in my working life, I had many an occasion to become involved in sales profiling and customer service skills development.

James is a standout in terms of his ability to quickly establish rapport over the telephone (correct – I’ve never met him personally). His speaking voice is calm and reassuring and his speech flows easily and at a comfortable rate for telephone dealings. He is able to project warmth and interest over the telephone.

The questioning skills that he uses to establish buyer needs and to equally drill down to find out about any problems which might arise, are terrific. I was also thrilled when James followed through with action and followed up to ascertain whether others, such as distribution warehouses or delivery agents had fulfilled his promised outcomes.

All in all, my expectations were not only exceeded, but i am taking time out from busy works on my home to write to you )long overdue because I was so wonderfully surprised and delightfully pleased to have James as the sales consultant I had to deal with. His skills are exceptional and indeed, he is a ‘standout’ in today’s retail world and customer service debacle.

Recently my wife and I ventured for the first time into the Blackburn E&S Trading showroom to hopefully purchase an advertised Bosch front end loader washing machine.

I had made a phone enquiry on the day prior (20/12) to confirm there was ample stock and not just a loss making market price leader as is common with some retailers.

A sales consultant, Melissa answered the phone and all my enquiries were answered both promptly and efficiently. She asked my name and phone number and I said we may come to the showroom tomorrow.

The next day we went to the Blackburn store. Upon entering your store we were greeted by a pleasant Melissa. Without any hesitation she mentioned my name and what we were there for.

Melissa’s meet and greet, product knowledge along with spelling out the available warranty was outstanding. Deciding to purchase the Bosch washer, all paperwork was done promptly.

We were taken to the casher. As we approached, Melissa directed the question to my wife to gauge whether my wife was interested in a heavily reduced Dyson cleaner. My immediate thought was how switched on was this sales consultant.

Having worked in the car industry and sales manager for many years at one of Melbourne’s biggest dealerships, I could not help but wonder what motivation sales courses you put your staff through.

As a manager, you dream of having self motivated staff like Melissa. Being your front line of attach, her meet & greet, sales skills and her ability to stay quiet whilst the client spoke quickly cemented a sale. Her follow up skills the following day were outstanding.

Rob, in praising up your sales staff, it would be remiss of me not to mention the delivery driver / installer Mark. Again meet and greet, people skills were first class. He never left until he was sure we were happy with the new product. Outstanding!

This was our first experience of dealing with your company, and being sales orientated myself, the experience was a pleasure.

As we both know you can spend thousands of dollars telling the public how good you are but unless you have switched on sales consultants like your company appear to have, you can stand back and watch your advertising budget dollars go down the gurgler.

Word of mouth has and always will be the best form of advertising and we can assure you we both speak of your firm in glowing terms.

I hope this email finds you well.

The purpose of this email is to provide you information regarding the experience my wife (Lauren) and I had at your premises on 4/1/15 with one of your sales consultants, Peter Treweek.

Lauren and I had just gotten back home on 3/1/15 from a 10 day holiday over the festive season and realised that we needed to take advantage of Boxing Day sales for our kitchen renovation. We have 2 boys (6 & 3 y/o) and were forced to take them home appliance shopping due to necessity – we were not in the mood... We first went to a couple of home appliance stores seeking advice/assistance with oven options and received very poor advice and below average service (The Good Guys Cheltenham DFO was the poorest).

Lastly we arrived at your premises and was warmly greeted by Peter – he was specific in his line of questioning as to why we were there and swiftly demonstrated a sound rapport in which we felt comfortable discussing our situation with him. Within 5 minutes of demonstrating features/benefits it must have become clear to Peter that we were struggling to concentrate on his presentation with 2 hungry/tired/bored boys quite clearly distracting us. Peter read the cue’s quickly, suggested that the boys would be more comfortable watching Shrek on the bean bags and even offered them pizza. From this point onwards we were sold ! The kids were out of our hair, you had competitive pricing and more importantly a sales consultant who was more than happy to assist us with our queries and offer advice where required.

Within 20 minutes, our oven only purchase saw us leaving your store with a Smeg Oven/stove combo, Smeg Ranghood, Blano sink and KWC taps – our expectation was to spend $2,000 on an oven and that was it and we ended up spending $4,000 because Peter made our shopping experience so easy and effortless.

As a specialist adviser for CBA (an organisation that heavily invests in customer service training), I felt Peter’s customer service was best practice and felt it important to provide you such feedback. Furthermore, prior to my tenure at CBA I spent 5 years putting myself through university working for Billy Guyatts as an appliance salesmen and am aware of the rigours of such a role. Not only did he answer every query we had about our kitchen renovation and provide fantastic service, he assessed our situation and provided an environment whereby we could concentrate on our concerns without being so distracted by our young children. He literally turned a potential $2,000 sale into a guaranteed $4,000 sale through his ability to read the situation, take it in his stride and find an alternative avenue for us to shop under his guidance. I am aware that many people spend a lot more at your store than $4,000 yet this further exemplifies the level of service I received. We bought close to bottom of the range products you have on offer and Peter made us feel like we were the most important people in the store – needless to say I was incredibly impressed.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to Peter for his service and moreover I strongly recommend that such an experience as we received be observed and replicated through your sales force as it was literally one of the best retail experiences I have had – best practice and Peter should be commended for his service levels.

I just wanted to take some time to make you aware of some sensational customer service I received from E&S on the backk of a pretty average product from F&P.

The short story is: after 5 warranty visits from the F&P technicians for the F&P AUX610, I made contact with the Moorabbin store who were responsive to my concerns that I thought I had a lemon. The next day I received a call from Rachel Drayton. Phone call after phone call Rachel would promise to follow up and call back and did so as promised. Going back and fro she eventually got me onto F&P - great guy, pity he never got back to me.

I was a day from filling VCAT, when Rachel obviously read the riot act to F&P - miraculously F&P rang to say they would swap the fridge. Alleluia, seven months and it would be fixed. Pity the next fridge was covered with suspected leaked refrigerant. Rachel read the riot act again and another replacement was on the way.

Now the next fridge (number 3) is going well, fingers crossed.

All through the process I was told a follow up would happen, and it did. You should be very prooud of the service given by Rachel... ... and it is fair to say that I will recommend E&S to all my friends as it is great to know that service  doesn't stop when you leave the E&S store.

"I was looking for a new oven and cooktop for my kitchen at home and I walked through E & S Trading at the Homemaker Centre, Chadstone looking very confused as there were so many ovens on display. Aneeta Ram approached me and asked if I need some help I told her I was quite confused by all the ovens but I knew I wanted white in colour and 60cm in size.

"Hello, I just wanted to send a quick e-mail to pass on some good customer service news....

I called the Blackburn office earlier today as I was chasing a replacement seat unit for a Kohler toilet that I had purchased through my local Tradelink dealer. Long story short, I purchased 2 toilet suites from them and they managed to give me 2 different seat types. When I asked Tradelink if they could resolve the issue they pretended I didn't exist.

Anyway, I was put through to Mark in sales and explained my issue and said that I was quite happy to purchase the correct model of seat if that's what it took. Mark instead gave me a direct contact at Kohler who he said should be able to help me with my concern as they had a lot of issues with Tradelink in the past. Now, I was quite willing to pay for another seat, but Mark went above and beyond in terms of customer service for me.

Please pass my regards on to this staff member and I will definitely purchase from yourselves in the future. Coming from a sales background myself, its all to often we hear only the bad feedback and not the good ones. Great work Mark!"

"On late Thursday evening, 10th July, our 5 year (young) Fisher and Paykel E522B fridge died, blown circuit board. All Fisher and Paykel could offer was a technician the following week with a fee and additional cost of parts.

No good when your foods going off and nowhere to go. You can live for a few days without a dishwasher or washing machine but not a fridge. So at 9 am Friday we went looking for a replacement, and visited many retail shops with some options and limited help. But when went to E&S our problems were solved effortlessly.

Peter was the salesman at your Chadstone store and offered a spare fridge to loan, free, whilst we looked for the one we really wanted. (he even rang a few technicians to see if we may be able to fix it somehow). How good is that. But when we did find the one we wanted, he vigorously chased it down, and with the warehouse help arranged same day delivery, at a competitive price. Furthermore ! when the delivery man (sorry don’t know his name) arrived, he could not be more helpful. Took the old one away, carefully, and then installed the new one. He had made a special trip for us, and in the meantime made us feel special.

Now, I am in customer service, and can count on one hand the number of times I have written on good service. But this does rate a mention in my view. Please pass on my thanks to Peter, the warehouse and delivery teams. They got our family out of a bind, food all good, and a wonderful service without compromising on the product or price."

"Dear Mr Sinclair,

Just before Christmas we purchased $7500.00 of kitchen appliances from your Blackburn store. Almost immediately we began using the Siemens glass gas cooktop we noticed the trivets black coating lifting off, the gas disc also stained badly and the glass also had marks that appeared to be under the glass and would not polish off. We had previously had a Westinghouse glass top cooktop in the kitchen for 25 years with wonderful quality and performance.

I took the trivets straight away back to the store and Andrew did not hesitate to agree that the faults were unacceptable and that he would organise replacements.

And so began months of hassles with Siemens to replace the units, being Xmas and New Year time also didn't help. He never gave up and finally last week a replacement was forthcoming.

Andrew gave us wonderful service and is a credit to your organisation. I would never hesitate to recommend E&S Blackburn to my friends and you should be very proud to have great staff like Andrew and the others we dealt with over the past 5 months."

"This morning, we noticed our combo inbuilt oven/microwave was making strange noises. I rang our contact at E & S Trading Moorabbin store to explain the situation. Within 1 hour, he had arranged for the manufacturer’s service people to pick up the unit from our house. Not long after that a temporary microwave was hand delivered by one of the staff from the Essendon store. I have just now received a call advising that the unit will be comprehensively tested by the manufacturer. If they are not satisfied with the diagnostic results a new unit will be delivered and installed next week.

"After the new range hood was installed, on windy days it kept 'rattling' annoyingly. We got in touch with E&S Blackburn to find out what could be done to rectify the problem. E&S Blackburn got in touch with the manufacturer who advised E & S Trading that once they had available an alternative cowl they would install it.


Time passed by and some 12 months later an alternative cowl was available but the manufacturer wasn't prepared to install it. Once again we got in touch with E & S and Gus from Customer Service called and said he arrange the fitting of the new cowl. As it turned out this cowl made little if no difference to the 'rattle'. We informed Gus that the problem still existed, which he immediately responded and said "leave it to me". Eventually, another cowl was purchased from another manufacturer and installed just the other day.

However, It is too soon to know whether the problem is now fixed. This has been a long winded saga. It has been disappointing that one of your manufacturers has initially let themselves down with its lack of service. Although we don't know yet whether the 'rattle' has gone we are confident that E & S Trading will not walk away from its responsibility. Thankfully because of Gus's perseverance we have received what can truly be called "good old customer service". Thank you very much for looking after our needs and concerns. It is very much appreciated."

From the moment we encountered Nathan in the store he was both courteous and welcoming but moreover, what won me over was his listening ability that honed in on what we were after and for what purposes. He then went through and made recommendations based on his knowledge which was quite extensive, but where deficient, was willing to find out information for us – in other words he was transparent in his dealings with us which gave us a greater level of confidence in the consultation process.

Ultimately he provided knowledgeable customer service and listened to what we wanted, coupled with delivering every step of the way.

Even in post sale, both he an Stephanie have been fantastic in terms of follow ups, problem resolution and keeping us informed with what is occurring. This level of consistency is almost non existent these days.

Stephanie especially helped to resolve an issue for us on Monday and her can do attitude and customer service was simply flawless.

As a direct result of their interaction with us and the experience we have had, we have sent a number of people their way and will continue to do so.

Early this year, we had our kitchen renovated. We went to another dealer to start looking for our new kitchen appliances; our second stop was E&S Trading in Blackburn, Victoria. The staff there are wonderful people, in particular Mr Shane Lewis, who is patient, devoted and knowledgeable sales person. He took the time to explain to us the various makes and models and helped us to choose the ones that suit our need and space. We ended up buying everything we need for our new kitchen there, in just one afternoon.

What made us more impressed is your company's after-sale service. Usually dealers only want to sell their products and don't want to know their customers any more after they have got the money, but with E&S, it's totally different.

After our brand new Bosch oven was installed, it kept beeping at random and we had not even started to use it. We were very scared, especially after hearing that some new ovens had exploded after a few minutes when they were turned on. We decided to go back to E&S Blackburn to find out the reason. Shane was busy on that day so Mr James Baker talked to us. He decided that this unusual problem should be reported to Bosch, so he arranged for a Bosch technician to come to your place. And not only that, your Service Department's staff, Megan (she prefers Meg) had phoned us to follow up, and to make sure that our problem is attended to. This is what we call a "10-stars Customer Service" because it is... very rare. Needless to say that we have decided that from now on, E&S Trading will be our "first" and "only" choice to shop for all of our house's need. I saw E&S Trading's motto on your website: "Creating Customers For Life". This is not just a slogan, because you have provided a golder customer service to back it up.

Our experience of E&S started from a brief recommendation from a friend, and when I visited the store just for a browse, I was approached by Stephanie, which was the beginning of this fantastic experience of how Stephanie engaged us, answered all our questions so patiently (and I must admit we had too many to ask) and actually won not just the 1 or 2 items we thought we might buy but almost our entire range of appliances totalling almost $6000.  And I am sure we will be heading straight back for anything else we need (by the way we come all the way from Berwick).
 
I am writing also because we have experienced many others stores and chains in Melbourne, and there is absolutely no focus on the customer.  Customers are either pushed to buy, or not approached at all.  We hear stories of all the pain Retail is experiencing, and I am sure it is....but it is this service and customer engagement which can make the winners like E&S stand apart from the loosers. I have several friends, and I would not just encourage but almost make sure I bring them to E&S. 

I am taking the pain to write this because we get so demotivated visitng various stores, and then when we do have an experience like E&S, we just take it for granted.  I didn't want to do that - I thought I must take the time to write and if this helps you to discuss with your other sales people what a difference it made to a customer's life and how it has earned E&S a customer for life and possibly thousands of dollars of business, I might have done my bit to express my thanks to E&S."
