SmartSense Plus - Smeg's SmartSense Plus induction cooktops feature the most progressive technology available. From edge-to-edge cooking with easily operated Surface Share ‘bridging’ zones, especially for large or irregular shaped pans, to the precision and control offered at the touch or swipe of a finger for all types of cooking from rapidly boiling water for pasta and stir frying through to the gentle melting of chocolate directly in a pan.
Two pairs Surface Share zones - Smeg’s zone-sharing technology where you can combine areas of your cooktop and operate these simply with a single control. As with professional cooking you can use pans of different shapes - long, large, irregular or rectangular; and any number of pans on the shared surface performing at the same temperature.
Active Surface Control - Smeg’s Active Surface Control system automatically illuminates the relevant power control, so no matter where on the surface the pan is placed, the corresponding control reveals itself, taking the guesswork out of which control is operating which zone – ingenious!
Touch controls - For precise cooking control, each zone is operated by an ergonomic slide control where you can choose to touch directly or finger swipe up and down the 1 to 9 power levels with no ‘tapping’ required.
Boost function - Boost provides an additional surge of power for even more intense heat and is ideal for heating large quantities of water rapidly
Timer function - The timer fucnction can be used as an independent minute minder or as a switch off timer for all zones each zone to ensure economical power usage. Timer can be set between 1 - 999 minutes.
Residual heat indicator - If the induction cooktop surface is still hot a [H] is indicated on the control panel. Once the temperature falls to a safe level the indicator will go out and the cooktop can be easily cleaned.
